During my time at the University of King’s College, I enrolled in both the television broadcast and television documentary workshops. Below is a sample of my course work.
Other mother: a doula's story
Emilie Chiasson is the encouraging voice coaxing a mother through labour, the anchor for a first-time father and the doting aunt to three young nieces.
Other Mother: A Doula’s Story examines Emilie’s role as a volunteer doula, her intimate bond with young parents Paige and Joe Duchesne, and how being the “other mother” affects her daily life.

Rural addiction
The province of Nova Scotia recently gave $370,000 to expand the methadone program in the Annapolis Valley.
Addiction services are moving into rural communities. There are now programs in Cape Breton, Truro, Kentville and Wolfville.
But accessing them can be difficult.

For the past three years the geese of Sullivan’s pond in Dartmouth have been moved to a farm for the winter.
But this year, they had to make the journey without the help of man that cared for them for many years.
